A SEASON OF MUSIC AND MINDFULNESS FOR OUR TIMES
Music & Meditation Santa Barbara brings together the timeless beauty of live music with the calming practice of guided meditation. Each concert is designed as a journey inward — preparing the mind through stillness and breath, then opening the heart to music.
Our 2026 Season will start on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at 2:00 PM in the intimate setting of Weinman Hall at the Music Academy of the West.
Each concert begins with a 15-minute guided meditation led by Jessica Kolbe, who gently prepares listeners to enter a space of awareness and presence. Her guidance offers a bridge from silence to music, inviting the audience to listen with openness and calm.
Seating is limited to just 70 guests — we encourage you to reserve early to be part of this special first season of Music & Meditation Santa Barbara.

ANI AZNAVOORIAN, cello
“Renowned for its affinity with the human voice, the cello offers a powerful medium for contemplative listening.”
Internationally acclaimed cellist Ani Aznavoorian is joined by pianist Antonio Artese for a program of solo and duo classical works, curated to invite an inner landscape of reflection and to embody the core values of deep listening and mindfulness.

JESSICA GUIDERI, violin
Virtuoso Jessica Guideri reimagines the solo violin program as an intimate dialogue, using the instrument’s resonant voice to bridge human emotion and profound stillness.

LAURIE RASMUSSEN, harp
Through a multi-harp performance, Laurie Rasmussen weaves a program between classical and folk traditions, revealing shimmering overtones and timeless resonance in an immersive soundscape that invites the mind to settle and the heart to open.
Tuesday May 12, 2026 - 2pm
JILL FELBER, flute
Internationally recognized for her innovative artistry, Jill Felber extends the voice of the flute—across C and alto instruments—inviting an intimate, near-field listening experience.
